While some people may celebrate Independence Day by lighting off fireworks, we’ve decided to show off our patriotism by creating a bold yet homey Sitting Room that’s as American as apple pie.

We began by covering the floor in a jute area rug with a deep navy border. On top of the rug sits an off-white sofa as well as an armchair and cocktail table made out of reclaimed wood. A pair of hide poufs round out the sitting area while an industrial metal side tables rests next to the armchair. Decorative elements come in the form of an oversized antique clock, American flag wall art, and a set of graphic accent pillows. Soft grey-blue walls and a pair of linen drapes finish off the cozy and casual space.
