So when it comes to shopping for furniture at HomeGoods, there are a couple of things you want to keep in mind, say you are buying the right pieces, maximizing your spend, powering up your result, and minimizing your stress. So, when you wanna use HomeGoods as a great resource for shopping for furniture, here are some important tips:
1. You definitely wanna complete a measured space plan. Here’s an example of one. But honestly, I don’t care if you do it by hand; I don’t care if you do it by a computer as long as you have it, because it shows exactly the maximum sizes that your space can handle. Really important. So number two, here comes the number two.
2. Bring a tape measure with you. Now I didn’t say a measuring tape. I said a tape measure. This is a tape measure, you can measure a sofa, it’s nice and long and it will give you full control. This is a measuring tape, this is a mess, this is not what you bring with you when you go to HomeGoods. This is what you use to measure your widening hips. This is not how you measure a sofa, do it the right way, do what the pros do, you want a measuring tape. So here comes tip number three.
3. Make sure you bring with you any fabric swatches that you need so you can see texture. It’s actually corpus(?) swatch, bring that too if you have it. Cabinet samples, if you got a wallpaper happening, bring that too. Have a little envelope with you or big envelope and bring swatches so that when you’re adding furniture, you know what you’re looking for. And then tip number four.
4. This Tip Is a Goody. When you’re shopping at HomeGoods for furniture, I suggest that you start with accent chairs. Take a look at this beautiful blue chairs. You could find this pair in your local HomeGoods and you can build an entire room out of that. How cool would that be? Or black and white plaid, so good looking, you could build an entire room or study around that. When it comes to your case goods, make sure you’re checking quality – for dings, nicks, chips, veneers, and finishes. Also, make sure the doors are opening and closing well, ditto on cabinet doors.
